McCarthy and the Social Security Ripoff
What do people think of renting a billboard somewhere in the Bakersfield area and putting up a big sign that reads:

The RIPOFF:
1. Raid Social Security Surplus to support the General Revenue Stream
2. Give wealthy Americans a big tax break
3. Declare Social Security to be broke
4. Reduce Social Security benefits to middle and lower income Americans
STOP THE RIPOFF: Call Representative McCarthy and insist that wealthy Americans start pulling their weight again. 202-225-2915 or 661-327-3611

It could also be done as a multicolor flow chart that might be easier and faster to read and remember.
The PDA says:
"The Co-Chairs of the president’s Deficit Commission have proposed deep cuts
to Social Security under the guise of reducing the budget deficit. They want to cut benefits for middle-class workers and reduce annual Cost of Living Adjustments. On top of that, they want to increase the retirement age to 69."

Is anyone going to run against him in 2012? With the actions taken and the attitude of the House this session, only big oil and big ag could possibly support McCarthy- if we can only get the fact out to the public! No doubt big money will be running tons of ads in 2012- and far too many people apparently think FoxNews is actually a news station, and base their voting on tv and radio ads...and what Rush and the rest of the hate radio idiots have to say....but educating the public and making sure we get the Democratic vote out in 2012 is simply urgent. The Republican line up frankly scares me silly.
